The Media Task Force was created in 2001. Following the terrorist attacks of September 11th, the newspapers, radio and television stations of the tri-states launched a “Fight Back with Bucks” campaign. Public service announcements and ads encouraged citizens to exercise their buying power to bolster the economy.
Media is driven to benefit the public – both in the tri-states and beyond. The purpose of media is to provide honest updates on current events, answer society’s need for truth and offer an open and diverse debate on public issues.
The Tri-State Development Summit Media Task Force’s purpose is to unite in an effort to inform tri-state citizens about issues affecting the region as a whole including highway funding, modernization of our rivers systems, workforce development and more.
The 35-county Tri-State Summit region is covered by more than 70 media outlets, including several TV stations that broadcast live daily.
